To enable the Thamizhi keyboard on your iPhone or iPad:
Thamizhi does not require Full Access. Your keystrokes never leave your device.
Thamizhi Pro is an optional yearly subscription that unlocks unlimited Tamil Brahmi conversion in the conversion playground. The keyboard extension works fully for all users.
To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
To restore a previous purchase, open the app, go to the About tab, and tap Restore Purchases.
What scripts does Thamizhi support?
Thamizhi converts between three scripts: English (Latin phonetic), Tamil, and Tamil Brahmi (the ancient predecessor of modern Tamil).
Does the keyboard collect my data?
No. All text processing happens entirely on your device. No keystrokes, text, or personal information is ever collected, stored, or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What is Tamil Brahmi?
Tamil Brahmi is one of the oldest known writing systems used to write Tamil. Archaeological evidence, including excavations at Keeladi, suggests it dates back to the 6th–8th century BCE. It is the ancestor of the modern Tamil script.
What do I get with Thamizhi Pro?
Free users can convert text between all three scripts, but Tamil Brahmi output in the conversion playground is limited to 15 characters. Thamizhi Pro removes this limit. The keyboard extension works fully for all users regardless of subscription status.
